No-gi Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai & kids martial arts — just 12 minutes from Glendora Village, the Pride of the Foothills
If you live in Glendora — whether you're in the Glendora Village area off Glendora Ave, up in North Glendora near the foothills, or out in the South Hills neighborhood — you're about 6 miles and a 12-minute drive from one of the San Gabriel Valley's top martial arts academies. 10th Planet Covina sits on Citrus Ave in downtown Covina. You're heading west on Route 66 or Foothill Blvd, not into LA traffic, not onto the 605. It's a straight shot from almost every part of Glendora.
Our 4,000 sq ft facility runs two dedicated training rooms — one for grappling, one for striking — with classes running morning through evening, six days a week. We train the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu system (no-gi only, founded by Eddie Bravo) and Fuzion Muay Thai, with separate kids programs starting at age 3. We have members who ride Glendora Mountain Road on weekends and train with us on weekday nights, and families from Glendora High and Goddard Middle who make our 4 PM kids classes part of their weekly routine.
Your first class is free. No contracts to sign on day one, no sales pitch while you're still catching your breath. Show up, train, and see if it's the right fit for you.
Take Route 66 / Foothill Blvd west from Glendora Ave and you're at our door in about 12 minutes. No freeway required — it's a straight, easy drive through the foothills corridor.
Morning BJJ at 8 AM before the commute, kids classes at 4 PM after school lets out in Glendora, evening Muay Thai until 10 PM. Six days a week with Saturday wrestling and open mat — there's always a session that works.
Parents from Glendora bring their kids for structured Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing, and Saturday wrestling. Age-grouped classes (3–5, 6–9, 10–15) so your child trains alongside peers their own size.
Master the art of no-gi submission grappling with the revolutionary 10th Planet system. Classes for all skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Learn MoreGlendora has always had an active, outdoors-oriented community — the kind of place where people hike Big Dalton Canyon Wilderness Park on Saturday mornings and are looking for something equally challenging on weekday evenings. We see that same drive in our members who make the short drive down from Glendora. Whether you're coming from the foothills area off Lone Hill Ave, from the Sunflower district, or from South Hills, you're a quick ride west on Route 66 from a serious training environment.
For Glendora families, our after-school kids programs are a natural fit alongside the busy schedule of students from Glendora High School, Goddard Middle, Sandburg Middle, and elementary schools like Sutherland and Sellers. Classes run at 4 PM on weekdays — timed so kids can get home, change, and make it to the mat without a scramble. Parents often stay to watch or take an adult class in the adjacent room.
If you're a Citrus College student looking for a workout that builds real-world skills alongside your coursework, or a Glendora Village regular who wants something more demanding than another gym membership, you'll find the culture here is welcoming but the training is genuine.
Kids classes at 4 PM fit perfectly for students from Glendora High, Goddard Middle, Sandburg, and the elementary schools along the foothill corridor.
Train at 8 AM before heading into the commute, or hit an 8:30 PM Muay Thai session after the kids are settled. We fit your schedule, not the other way around.
Parents train Muay Thai while their kids take Jiu Jitsu in the next room. Several Glendora families train together here and have for years.
Fill out a quick waiver and meet the coach. We'll walk you through the space and answer any questions before class starts.
No-gi means no uniform needed. Athletic shorts or leggings and a t-shirt or rash guard work great. No zippers or pockets on the mat.
Beginners are paired with experienced training partners who will guide you through techniques. No one gets thrown into the deep end on their first day.
We'll answer questions about membership if you're interested, but there's zero sales pressure. Try as many free classes as you need before deciding.

About 6 miles. From Glendora Village, the easiest route is west on Route 66 / Foothill Blvd all the way to Citrus Ave in Covina — no freeway required. Most Glendora residents arrive in 12 to 15 minutes. If you're coming from North Glendora near the I-210, you can take Grand Ave south and be here in a similar amount of time.
Not at all. The majority of our members started with zero background. Our beginner classes are built from the ground up — fundamentals of position, movement, and technique before anything advanced. Experienced training partners work with newcomers at your pace, and nobody is expected to keep up on day one.
We run three age groups: 3–5, 6–9, and 10–15. Kids Jiu Jitsu and kids kickboxing run Monday through Friday starting at 4 PM, and Saturday mornings include wrestling. A lot of Glendora families drop their kids off after school — Glendora High, Goddard, and Sandburg students all make it on time without rushing.
Yes, there's free parking directly in front of the building at 1050 N Citrus Ave. No meters, no time limits. You won't have to walk any distance or hunt for a spot.
10th Planet is 100% no-gi — there's no kimono (gi) worn during training. The system was founded by Eddie Bravo and uses a distinct set of positions and submissions designed specifically for no-gi grappling. It translates directly to MMA and self-defense situations, and it's easier to get started because you only need shorts and a t-shirt. No equipment to buy before your first class.
